Name// Leslie
ActualName// Leslie Rae Roy
Nickname// Daisy
Gender// Male
Age// 10
Sexuality// Straight
Pokemorph// None
Appearance// He doesn't seem have very distinct looks seeing as his personality is what makes him stand out in a crowd, but if you look at the underlying message, you'll find that they scream.
When it comes to clothing, he will nearly almost always be wearing a hoodie. They are extremely versatile like him and there are so many outfits you can create with them, depending on the look you're going for. He likes both pull-over hoodies and zip-up hoodies as long as they have two common features. A big enough hood for a small pokemon to snuggle up in and big enough pockets for a pokedex and Ipod. Both need to be in quick access seeing as he is always on the move, always looking for new pokemon, and always listening to music. Once in a while, he might run into a short sleeve hoodie in which he always wears a long-sleeve striped shirt underneath it. Yellow, blue, and black are the most common striped colors for him.
As for his bottoms, he prefers jeans or cargos when its cool and brown shorts when it's hot. Every once in a while he might wear some plaids. But he'd rather be dead than be seen in something as hideous as pink. He also tries to stay away from light yellows and anything pastel. He doesn't want to look like easter morning. He prefers the darker plaids, like brown or blue. In fact brown is probably the most common color he wears.
Accessories are the most common element in his clothing. Not like necklaces or rings, although he does have a couple, but like hats, belts, and shoes.
He prefers barefoot when it comes to his feet but otherwise, he'll always wear sneakers. His most used pair would have to be a Burgundy but his favorite are dark blue and white. All of his sneakers are dirty, and if you look at his feet, you'll see those splattered in mud also. Showering isn't really a top priority for 10 year old boys.
Some common odd things he wears is a cat eared hat, a clip on tail, and a collar around his neck. These represent his wild, almost animal behavior and are worn quite often. The collar has a bit of a broken leash on it to represent the fact that his is free and cannot be tamed, like a wild animal that broke out of captivity. There is even an imprint of a wolf on his bag that he constantly carries around and a stuffed panda that sticks out of it.
His more obscure items would be a dog-tag on a chain, hidden by the majority of his clothing. On it reads a small poem a young girl in which he adored since he was seven wrote for him.
Seasons may Change,
Winter To Spring
But I will Love you
Until the End of TimeIn fact he has more dog tags with other messages from her in his backpack, he changes them daily, but this one is the one he uses most. There is even a symbol for love on a ring of his. The symbol is from a language that they created together. The ring is worn constantly, either on a finger of his or around his neck on the same chain as the dog-tag.
See? His clothing screams the messages as loud as can be.
As for his unchangeable traits, they are so average that he often chooses to cover them. His hair is a silky, thick blonde that he sometimes covers with a hat. It isn't messy like most young boys for he brushes it daily. Other than that and brushing his teeth daily, he has quite poor hygiene often refusing showers. But he does strangely smell good.
His eyes don't really stand out or pop like other people. They are a light hazel and nearly blend right in with his hair. They often remain distant or sugar-high, being the first clue to his current mood. Any mood he's in, angry or sad, happy or tired, his eyes tell all even if the rest of his body doesn't.
His build isn't really average though. He may be slightly tan and have boyish muscles due to his activity, but he is extremely short. He hopes to always remain short and never grow too much, simply because it sets him apart from others.
Personality//Outgoing
Wild
Active
Confident
Funny
Tolerant
Obnoxious
Generous
Aims to PleaseOutgoing: There is a large difference between outgoing and wild when it comes to him. His outgoing nature simply means that he enjoys to meet new people. He is the type of boy who will go up to a crowd and chat away as if they had already met. It often leads to people finding him a tad bit annoying, but he doesn't care.
Wild: His wild spirit comes perhaps from being involved with wild pokemon since his birth. He had never really come in contact with tamed pokemon besides seeing them pass through with their trainers. His wildness generally means that he'd do something crazy or unpredictable and enjoy doing it.
Active: Also different from Wild in the sense that Active means that he's a fit little boy who could run around for hours. He enjoys sports of all kinds although he gets picked near the end due to his height. Running is perhaps his biggest knack. Unlike many other kids his age, he can run the fastest and longest as compared to kids much older than him. He has never been 'it' in a game of tag.
Confident: He honestly doesn't care what other people think of him and doesn't let insults hamper his mood. When talking to people, he has such an air of confidence that sometimes he's a bit too bold and makes him seem arrogant. Still, he doesn't let it bother him.
Funny: His sense of humor isn't generally what adults like to see, but secretly find hilarious. He'll crack jokes randomly just to create a few smiles or giggles. But he also is experienced enough in the area of joke-making to know when to joke and when not to. Sometimes his humor will get out of hand and he'll pull some nasty pranks that leave him in trouble for weeks.
Tolerant: Unlike a lot of people, he likes everyone. Even if someone has a disagreeable personality, he will look for the good in them and see only that, making him extremely tolerant much like one of his idols, King Cyrus of Persia. He had only heard about him once in school and instantly wanted to be that tolerant.
Obnoxious: When he does get out of hand, like any little boy should, he can become extremely obnoxious in a hyperactive fit. It causes him to be a little louder than normal and not really listen to other people. Once the obnoxious fit is over, he can get really emotional simply because he hates it when he does that.
Generous: Contradictory to his Obnoxious behavior, he is extremely generous. He is the little boy that would give away his ice cream or candy if he saw that some other kid didn't get some. Not just share it, but give it away. It may seem that this doesn't fit in his personality, but it does whenever he is calm and not running around.
Aims to Please: He hates it more than anything when he displeases someone. He uses this feeling of disappointment to try and better himself and shoots even higher next time. Sometimes he shoots too high entirely and falls on his bum in a sea of disappointment. But he remains under the impression that when you shoot for the moon, you might land on a star on the way back down.
History//He was born 10 years ago on October the 3rd into a near average family with little money. He has no memory of this obviously. He does however remember moments from his early childhood.
When he was a mere three, his family finally found enough money to open a wild pokemon reserve where they raised and healed abandoned or injured pokemon. After a year, they raised enough money to send Leslie to school. He had been home-school up until then and was actually above average so he was put in a class of six year olds even if he was only four. But due to certain circumstances, he was held at that grade for two years just so that he'd be in his own age group again.
After school, he'd do his homework and then help his parents work with the wild pokemon. He seemed to have a mild personality then but then all of a sudden when he turned six, he grew somewhat wild. He was harder to handle and didn't seem to listen well. It was as if he was in a world of his own. It frustrated his parents after awhile so they finally took him to a therapist. The Therapist assured them that nothing was terribly wrong. He merely had ADHD and he could be tamed with some medicine.
School remained a challenge however. His only two friends were girls who thought him to be sweet. He suffered constant teasing because he was friends with girls, he had been held back two years, and because he was short. When he was seven, a new girl turned up in school and he thought her to be the most beautiful creature in the world. He developed a crush and persisted until she too adored him. It made his years in school much better.
"Hey DAISY," a cruel boy shouted at him. "Aren't you too stupid to be graduating?" Yup he was teased just because the school had held him back those two years to put him back with his age group. Today was graduating day. They were all ten and able to go on pokemon journeys.
"Ignore him, Daisy," Rose said. Daisy had been created to insult Leslie, but Rose, his sweetheart, used it as a term of adoration. Ironic huh? Daisy and Rose? "You're the smartest kid in our class. I bet you're going to do well on your journey."
Leslie couldn't help but smiling but suddenly something hit him. "What do you mean by my journey?" They had planned since they were eight to go on a journey together so the way she said that was a bit confusing.
"Oh..." she suddenly became extremely sullen. "My father wants me to go to the Kanto region. He insists I do and you know that I can't disappoint him!" Rose had lost her mother last year and did her best to make her father happy. "Here take this, open it when you start out." She handed him a small parcel that held the ring, chain, and dog-tags in it.
"It's alright..." Leslie mumbled, fighting off tears. Even with this gift, he still couldn't help feeling dooped. "Good-bye," he said quite bluntly. He didn't want her to see his tears or else then she'd have to feel bad about him too. He would never want to make her choose between him and her father.
That was his last day of school, and it flittered through his mind often. It was how he ended up here at the front doors of the lab in this region wearing her presents. He was ready for his journey to begin.
