Personality Traits

Friendship: Edward is a bit of a loner. Choosing to stay in groups of two with his friends instead of being in a large group; for those tend to make him nervous. He’ll gradually break apart from those groups and stick by himself until he’s back with a single person he can call an ally and chat with them.

Romance Interests: Preferring to wait for his one true love, he acts detached to the young lady’s that he comes across in his journey. Edward will flirt with girls younger than him, but to a certain limit. He is demanding in both romance and friendships, and expects to have the most attention possible, so he’ll try to distract you when surrounded by other males. Edging into the conversation and trying to catch your attention as much as possible, his only desire is to be in his true love’s thoughts for as long as possible.

The Past and Future

History:

His name is Edward Peterson, a young British lad that had come from a hard working middle class family. Toughening it out as a paperboy to help support his pregnant mother and his father, who eventually couldn’t take the stress of a family and left. He had lived through her dating troubles at age 9, bringing in boyfriend after boyfriend into that tiny apartment they lived in on the darkest corners of Woodlind Hills, a remote city that lies a distance away from Crystal City and the Mills Mining. Often he went through the emotional breakdown of meeting some father figures that he really adored, to find out that they were cheats. Fakes. Liars and morons that left as soon as they found out she was ready to have another child. The signs by then were barely noticeable, and she struggled more and more to get into a decent relationship. It all made him angry inside; he held it in as he tried to comfort his mother every day. The promise of a good job from his school work and his good grades keeping her happy, but it was all getting to be too much for her to handle.

After graduating from High School, his little sibling was growing up rather fast, and there were more people to support. His mother stayed home with a cheap boyfriend that wouldn’t stop begging her for money for his gambling problems, a man that she claimed that she loved, as much as he pleaded with her to break up with him, she simply refused. The child only got caught in the middle of it, all of these problems swirling around him to make his life a living hell. Eventually he dropped out of college to try and find a more immediate high paying job, one that he had learned about from stories of professional Pokémon Trainers. Some ended up being Professors, the richest of the rich.

You see, he needed the money now. Not to continue his in college for who knows how long when his family was dying enough as it was on the inside. Edward went through the struggle of leaving behind one of the only things he loved, the poor child that he left behind with his mother in that old apartment building before heading out for a new future. Promising to send her as much money as he could with his new job as a Pokémon Trainer.

Knowledge of the Pokémon World


From what that poster said, and from word of other people and TV shows, he knows that one must earn a total of eight badges, from Gym Leaders across the region in order to compete in the Pokémon League Challenge. He knows a select number of Pokémon, but cannot identify them all upon sight. Edward also knows that Pokémon have weaknesses and resistances, but has trouble remembering the more uncommon types. He knows most of Grass Water and Fire for weakness and resistance.

Unfortunetly, he doesn't know anything else. He'll be keeping track of everything he knows in a small notepad that he carries around in his jacket pocket.
