A tall, skinny youth, with extremely pale skin, with contrasting black hair, and again opposite coloured clothes. His left hand was in his pocket, but his right hand was fingering a necklace around his neck. It was a silver chain, with a miniscule plastic Pokéball on the end. He'd just bought it an hour ago, from a random guy at the side of the road. It was cheap, but Nozomi didn't care. He had stolen some money out of his college fund before he'd left to become a trainer, and he'd felt like buying something.
He didn't realise that he'd reached the door, and nearly walked into it, before jolting back to earth. Shaking his head, he outstretched his balled hand, and lightly rapped on the door, hoping somebody heard him. He then stood there, silent, with his hands on his hips, thinking about his life. When there was no answer, he pushed down the handle and slowly opened the door. It creaked, as though it had never been opened. Ignoring this omen, he walked further into the Lab. "Hello?" He said, expressionlessly. "Anyone there?" He peered into one of the rooms, but there were nothing but shelves and shelves of Pokéballs, and a poster. Intrigued, he observed the poster further, deciding which pokémon to choose.

"Why, hello." the Professor opened the light, looking at the boy. "I see you're observing our poster." he pointed at it. "That's for the Pokemon you may get." he said. Walking towards the boy, he noticed that he had a small Pokeball with him. "Ah. You've bought a Pokeball? Good. You might need that later on. But for now, you'll get them in your starter pack." Suddenly remembering that, he dashed out of the door. "Back in a minute..."Returning, he held out the Starter Pack for the boy to inspect. "Yep. It's got everything you need. All you have to do now is to choose which Pokemon you'd like for your starter." He looked questioningly at the boy. You got a Starter Pack!

Twilight falls upon the world, Falls upon me, Falls upon you, As we dance, The everlasting dance. Dance...
"Why, hello... I see you're observing our poster."
At the voice, Nozomi turned, still no expression on his face, spotting the Professor. The guy looked decent enough, freindly. Didn't look too bad. There was something about him though, an air of authority maybe. Was he the only one in this lab? It must get pretty lonely. Lonely. Nozomi began to think about his family, his freinds. He had never really been lonely, exept recently. Because he had left. He was starting to wonder if it had really been a good idea, leaving everything. But he would have a Pokémon soon, so he wouldn't really be lonely. He wouldn't have to experience any pain, so why was he being so... so stupid? His life was meant to be lived, not wasted. Not ignored. As a human, it was his job, his right to live. Why not be successfull, and happy? Life was pointless, yes. It was futile, yes. But why did it have to be miserable? The answer... It didn't. Life didn't have to be miserable. The revelation hit him smack dab in the face. He was shocked, surprised. It was too late now, he had left his old life. You can't just waltz back in, admit that your wrong, get everything back and be accepted again. He was gone forever, until he came back, successful. Thats what his parents had said. He had to become a master, a Pokémon master, before he would ever be re-accepted. And so that was what he'd have to do, that was the only option.
"Ah. You've bought a Pokeball? Good. You might need that later on. But for now, you'll get them in your starter pack... Back in a minute."
Nozomi wasn't listening, and waited until the guy came back, and handed him the brown package, which he took, and put into a black rucksack that he had bought alongside the pokéball necklace. And so with newfound determination, he outstretched his forefinger and slammed it onto the poster, upon the picture of a Growlithe. He still wasn't listening to the professor, who was now explaining how he had to choose a starter. "I want a Growlithe, professor. Please, I need to become a Pokémon master as fast as possible." He knew this sounded childish, but Nozomi was impatient by nature. "Please." He begged, sincerity in his eyes. [/blockquote]

"Well... uh... sure!" the Professor stuttered, surprised that such a young boy could be so... reckless yet sincere. He wondered if this kid was supposed to be some person who did some stuff as important things. Oh well. It wasn't his business. "Okay, well, here's your Growlithe..." He handed the new trainer a Pokeball. "That's a girl. If you'd like a boy... well, you can take the boy then." He handed them both over to the trainer. "Here."You got a Growlithe!

Nozomi listened to the Professor, information going in one ear and out the other, for Nozomi was so plagued by new feelings and emotions, that he only just managed to take the Pokéball in his outstretched hand. He looked at it, overwhelmed for a second. 'So your my new partner.' He thought, staring at the ball. A Growlithe. I hope you can help me. You'll be called Ruro.' the trainer thought. The side of his lip curled upwards slightly, as he attatched the ball to his belt, and stood up straight, arms by his sides. He then bowed neatly, as low to the ground as was possible, before standing again, and turning to walk out of the door. As he stepped into the sunlight, he couldn't help but feel as though he was letting himself in for something bigger than him, and larger than he could manage, but even so, he manage to shout a quick: "Thanks!" Before running off towards the first route, impatient to become the first Pokémon master in 80labs.
