Name:
Nozomi
Why you want to be a Mod:
I want to be a Mod, because I have a lot of time on my hands, and am on the computer often. I feel that literacy is a gift, and your dream of making a literate site is very honourable, for you would be helping people better their english, and possibly have better lives and careers. Personally, I would love to help you acheive this, for I am fairly literate myself, not to brag of course.
As well as IMA, I aspire to be an Admin in a site one day, and this one seems so nice that i'd love to be one on 80labs, especially (no offence) seeing as your current admins seem somewhat inactive. I shouldn't move so fast though.
How can you help as a Mod:
I am on regularly, and seeing as I live in a different time zone to most people, I can mod any unmodded threads whilst nobody else is online. I know that mod's cannot create skins, but I am fairly acomplished on photoshop and can create Pokémon skins. But anyway, I can also help by modding as many threads as possible, and helping you with this great sight.
Mod duties:
To reply to as many unreplied threads as possible, whether the member is online or not. To accept peoples characters and give them their starter pokémon, but most importantly to help new members, especially the less literate ones. To help people to become more literate is my goal in life, and it would mean a lot to me.
If I need an example of my literacy:
Nozomi

Twilight falls upon the world,
Falls upon me,
Falls upon you,
As we dance,
The everlasting dance.
Dance...
"Why, hello... I see you're observing our poster."
At the voice, Nozomi turned, still no expression on his face, spotting the Professor. The guy looked decent enough, freindly. Didn't look too bad. There was something about him though, an air of authority maybe. Was he the only one in this lab? It must get pretty lonely.
Lonely.
Nozomi began to think about his family, his freinds. He had never really been lonely, exept recently. Because he had left. He was starting to wonder if it had really been a good idea, leaving everything. But he would have a Pokémon soon, so he wouldn't really be lonely. He wouldn't have to experience any pain, so why was he being so... so stupid? His life was meant to be lived, not wasted. Not ignored. As a human, it was his job, his right to live. Why not be successfull, and happy? Life was pointless, yes. It was futile, yes. But why did it have to be miserable? The answer... It didn't.
Life didn't have to be miserable. The revelation hit him smack dab in the face. He was shocked, surprised. It was too late now, he had left his old life. You can't just waltz back in, admit that your wrong, get everything back and be accepted again. He was gone forever, until he came back, successful. Thats what his parents had said. He had to become a master, a Pokémon master, before he would ever be re-accepted. And so that was what he'd have to do, that was the only option.
"Ah. You've bought a Pokeball? Good. You might need that later on. But for now, you'll get them in your starter pack... Back in a minute."
Nozomi wasn't listening, and waited until the guy came back, and handed him the brown package, which he took, and put into a black rucksack that he had bought alongside the pokéball necklace. And so with newfound determination, he outstretched his forefinger and slammed it onto the poster, upon the picture of a Growlithe. He still wasn't listening to the professor, who was now explaining how he had to choose a starter. "I want a Growlithe, professor. Please, I need to become a Pokémon master as fast as possible." He knew this sounded childish, but Nozomi was impatient by nature. "Please." He begged, sincerity in his eyes.
